About Me
Frank Wu (LRSM, ATCL, MA, B.Mus) is a Hong Kong based piano teacher with a passion for music education.
A native of Hong Kong, Frank spent formative years honing his craft as a musician in Australia. He is an alumnus of the Australian Institute of Music, where he studied composition under the guidance of renowned Australian composers Eric Chapus and Drew Crawford. As a live performer, he was an active member in the vibrant Sydney music scene, accumulating extensive performing experience both as a pianist and keyboardist.
On returning to his hometown of Hong Kong, Frank chose to focus his passion in music education. To further his professional development as a teacher, he attained his Master's degree in Music from the Hong Kong Baptist University, graduating with highest honors with a focus on piano pedagogy and early childhood music education.
With over seven years of teaching experience, Frank is a seasoned music teacher who has taught students of all ages - from preschool children to senior adults. He adopts a student-centered approach, accounting for each student's unique abilities to create customized lesson content that enable them to realize their musical potential.
Frank is versatile musician who is well versed with both classical and contemporary popular music. In addition to his skills as a pianist, he is also an accomplished guitarist and enjoys songwriting and producing music in his spare time.
