My Appaorch to Teaching Music
Throughout the years of my own learning journey, I have come to deeply understand that studying music requires a great deal of dedication. However, having the right approach to learning is equally important. In my extensive experience as a teacher, I have encountered numerous students who possess a genuine passion for music but often face overwhelming frustrations while learning the piano. In many cases, these challenges gradually diminished their interest in learning music.
I have observed that many of these students struggle not because of a lack of motivation or effort, but rather due to ineffective practice methods. Recognizing this, I consider it my responsibility to not only provide feedback and guidance but also to assist my students in developing effective practice strategies.
While learning piano presents its challenges, proper teaching methods can significantly alleviate these frustrations. After graduating from the Australian Institute of Music, my interest in music education led me to delve into various piano teaching approaches, including completing a master's degree focused on piano pedagogy to continuously enhance my teaching skills.
I believe that behind the sucess of every student, there needs to be a reciprocal relationship between the student and the teacher. I look forward to all my students benefiting from my teaching, just as I value their dedication and effort.

A Message from Teacher Frank
Is learning piano just about playing notes? Absolutely not!
Notes are simply symbols printed on sheet music. If students don’t grasp the key concepts, even practicing a piece a hundred times won’t yield meaningful results. To truly master a piece, it’s not just about building a solid technical foundation—it also requires a detailed analysis of the composition’s structure, style, use of music theory, historical context, and even the composer’s thought process. These abstract concepts can, in fact, be simplified, understood, and applied through proper teaching. After all, art is inseparable from life—why did the composer choose a particular chord? Were they trying to convey a specific emotion?
Only when students genuinely understand these essential principles and techniques can they learn how to practice effectively and interpret a piece correctly. That’s why I encourage my students to ask questions during lessons. By sharing my experience and knowledge, I aim to help them gain a deeper understanding of music.
